About Me
Mike Leverenz (30.12.1967) is an independent pop musician from Berlin who enriches his audience with his catchy sounds and profound lyrical vibes. Mike combines authenticity with modern production techniques and passionately develops songs that appeal not only to the five senses but also to the soul – which he proves with each new release under the name “Level-M.” Mike discovered his passion for music production and music theory at the age of 14, when he began writing songs and teaching himself to play the guitar. This creative foundation became the catalyst for Mike’s strong enthusiasm for exploring new musical ideas. Although he learned a technical trade after leaving school in the 80s, Mike’s creative spirit led him to the clubs and bars of the city. Witnessing first-hand the new wave music of his time and its formative impressions soon inspired Mike to take the next steps as a musical artist himself.
Today, Mike is a songwriter who has released over 30 singles and has won awards for it, including several at the German Rock and Pop Awards in 2018 and 2019. This is partly due to his natural artistic creativity, partly from his unparalleled versatility in rhythm, sound syntax and vocals, and part from his range of independent, sometimes minimalist songs that are known to inspire.
He also likes to use music as a channel to convey moods and feelings, knowing that the path to a better future begins with it.
